Pinterest is one of those up and coming sites that makes planning your wedding a heck of a lot easier.
Imagine a google image search but 10 times better, and more inspirational! You can simply search any topic you like under any category, i.e. vintage weddings, slow cooker recipes, summer fashion, how to create winged eyeliner…. the possibilities are endless!
Pinterest is especially great for wedding searches, it will make your mind race the amount of images and ideas that pop up on this site that you never even thought existed.
The great thing is, the more specific your search term, the better. Say for example, you want your wedding day scheme to be ‘blush and mint’, this is what came up on entering those terms…
Fabulous eh? So many fab ideas and tons of inspiration to make your wedding day as pretty and special as possible. The great thing is once you have found images you love, and you click on that image it takes you through to the website that image originated from, so a GREAT way of finding your wedding suppliers.
When joining Pinterest, you are given a profile and on that profile features your ‘boards’. Now boards are your internet equivalent of the traditional mood board, each board can be a different category.
For example, I have the following boards;beauty, working inspiration, food, fashion, love, fitness, flora special occasion (my work board) and craftiest fox (my silly name for a hobby and craft board).
These boards make organising all your favourite things easy peasy. I always recommend on wedding consultations that couples join Pinterest and have a browse, as it can really confirm in their mind how they want their wedding day to look, as well as generating new and exciting ideas. Who wants a wedding that’s the same as everyone else’s?!
