On Monday 19th December I had the opportunity to work at the fabulous Farnham Castle, decorating my two good friend’s wedding. I’ve heard a lot about the venue, and seen lots of amazing images on Instagram so I was super excited to be there!
Farnham Castle is a huge old castle, with a large main double height hall used for the wedding breakfast and reception, and a cosy intimate ceremony room. The staff at the castle we’re so lovely and helpful which makes all the difference when setting up a wedding!
The couple getting married were Jen & Dan, and they chose a winter scheme of seasonal ivory flowers with a hint of pale pink, grey foliages, winter dark berries and pinecones. The style was to be very loose and natural (my favourite!), so I used lots of foraged foliages and flowers with naturally curved soft stems.
The wedding ceremony was kept simple with a pair of pedestal displays, small bud vases on the window sills and Eucalyptus with pinecones attached to the end of each aisle chair.
The grand reception room featured half tall large flower displays on gold candlesticks with tall twigs. The other half of the tables were low glass candle displays adorned with pinecones.
