This gorgeous couple are both old school friends of mine, and chose the majestic Botleys Mansion to declare their vows and hold their wedding reception in June of this year.
When I arrived at the venue for the first time ever on the morning of the wedding, my breath was taken away by the beauty of the place. Set within acres of rolling countryside, the grand mansion was the perfect choice for a balmy Saturday wedding (they were very lucky with the weather!).
The couple booked my services a year in advance, they didn’t mess around! They knew exactly what they wanted, and didn’t deviate from their plans once. The theme was silvery foliage with stark white flowers, mirrored glassware and accessories.
Rachel herself turned her hand to making the fantastic seating plan, which was written on a large mirror, and sourcing all of the candle holders and bud vases.
The ceremony was held in the ‘Green Room’, where Rachel & Tristan had four large flowers pedestal arrangements along with simple Hydrangea pew ends, all tied with silver satin ribbon. The mantlepiece was adorned with a variety of different vases and candle holders filled with blooms to create a contemporary look.
The pièce de résistance was the atrium where the wedding breakfast and reception were held. With ginormous crystal chandeliers hanging overhead, the atrium space was large, airy and breathtaking. The couple chose to decorate half their tables with tall martini style vase displays, and half with mirrored fishbowl flower arrangements. All of the tables had blooms and candles in bud vases surrounding the centrepieces.
